Our dory trip was lucky to get the camp at Bass. We stayed for two nights and hiked and explored the area. Bass camp is named for William Bass who came into the area as a horse and hiking guide in the late 1800's. He and his wife Ada ran the business. They built and maintained trails and a crossing of the river by a cable car.
While we sat one evening I quickly painted a sketch of the river glow up river.....and later in my studio went bigger. I loved the contrast of Darkness in the sky and the bright glow on the cliffs. The colorful dory boats were my addition.
I love this work, thankfully I did photograph it. I have no idea who purchased it, so if someone see's this and knows please contact me at: OTE
